A grassroots organization led primarily by Montgomery students and alumni dedicated to fighting for social justice through education and community outreach
OUR GOALS
Use education as a means of demanding social justice in our community
Amplify and support underrepresented voices
Communicate openly with the public about local policy and actions taken to fight injustice
WHO ARE WE?
Monty for Justice was originally founded in June 2020 amidst a national outcry against police brutality and systemic racism in the United States with the goal of bringing awareness to anti-Black racism in Montgomery, NJ. Since then, our mission has expanded to address government accountability, local policy-building, and education reform, and we are continuously seeking to diversify our areas of focus. Now a formidable coalition of almost fifty Montgomery students, alumni, and community members, we are committed to acting locally while thinking globally in our fight against systemic oppression.
